Returning to Qatar? Doha Airport issues new guidelines for passengers

Doha’s Hamad International Airport (HIA) has issued travel guidelines for thousands of expatriates and students returning to Qatar after the summer holidays. The guidelines are aimed at making the airport’s procedures easier in the face of increasing passenger numbers. Families arriving with children will be able to use the airport’s free stroller facility and a free shuttle buggy service to quickly reach the immigration section from Concourses D and E. In addition, the authorities said that children and adults over 120 centimeters tall can use the ‘Scan & Go’ e-gates to speed up immigration procedures.

Those arriving to pick up passengers are advised to use the car parking facility to avoid traffic congestion. The airport has online taxi services such as Uber, BadrGo, and Ryde to get to the city, as well as Doha Metro, authorized taxis, buses, and rent-a-car facilities. To collect luggage, you must check your flight information on the screens. Everything, including large luggage, will be collected on the belts allocated to them. If you lose any items or do not receive your luggage, you can contact the baggage service office in the arrival hall, the authorities said.
