The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has announced the new summer timetable for Qatar government schools. According to a notice issued on April 27, the new timetable will be applicable from May 3 to June 3, 2026. The change is to provide relief to students in the face of the sweltering summer heat.
According to the new timetable, classes for kindergarten (including pre-K) students will be from 7 am to 12 pm from Sunday to Thursday. The primary section will operate from 7 am to 12:30 pm. Classes for preparatory section students will start at 7 am every day. Classes for them will end at 12:45 pm from Sunday to Wednesday and 12:30 pm on Thursdays. The working hours for secondary section students will be from 7 am to 12:45 pm from Sunday to Thursday. Meanwhile, the ministry has also clarified that the working hours for teachers and other administrative staff in government schools will be from 7 am to 1:15 pm from Sunday to Thursday.
