According to Numbeo’s 2026 mid-year Quality of Life Index, Qatar ranks second in Asia and 12th globally. The Netherlands topped the world list with a score of 205.6. Oman topped the Asian list with a score of 203.9, while Qatar came in second with a score of 188.6.

Numbeo prepares this index based on eight main factors to measure the quality of life of a country’s people. They are Purchasing Power Index, Safety Index, Health Care Index, Cost of Living Index, Property Price to Income Ratio, Traffic Commute Time Index, Pollution Index, and Climate Index. Qatar’s excellent performance on these criteria helped it achieve this feat.
