Qatar Airways to operate relief flights for stranded passengers

While flights are temporarily suspended, Qatar Airways has announced that it will operate a limited number of relief flights from today (March 5). This emergency measure is to assist passengers stranded in various locations due to the current situation in the region.

The relief flights are arranged on the following routes:

  • From Muscat to London Heathrow, Berlin, Copenhagen, Madrid, Rome and Amsterdam.
  • From Riyadh to Frankfurt.

The airline has strictly advised passengers not to proceed to the airport under any circumstances without receiving official notification from Qatar Airways. Passengers should ensure that their contact details, including their phone number, are updated to receive accurate travel information and instructions. The airline will contact those whose travel is cancelled directly.

Normal services will only resume once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority declares the airspace safe to reopen. Qatar Airways stated that further information in this regard will be announced tomorrow (March 6, 2026) and that the situation is being constantly monitored.
