As part of the Qatar-Canada, Mexico 2026 ‘Year of Culture’ Winter Sports Development Program, the Qatar Winter Sports Committee and the Year of Culture are jointly organizing winter sports events for the public. The events will be held at the Ali Bin Hamad Al Attiyah Arena from July 11 to 14. The public does not need to purchase tickets in advance to participate in this entertainment event, which is completely free of charge. This is a great opportunity to further popularize winter sports and experience them firsthand.
On Saturday, July 11, there will be an Ice Hockey Open House from 6 pm to 7 pm, followed by an Ice Hockey Series game from 7:10 pm to 8:20 pm, and an Ice Skating Open House from 8:30 pm to 9:45 pm. There will also be a ‘Curling Come & Try’ session on Tuesday, July 14 from 6 pm to 8 pm. This will be a unique experience for children and adults who want to experience and practice winter sports such as ice hockey and skating firsthand.
