The third edition of the Throwback Food Festival kicked off at Old Doha Port on Monday. This year, the festival has been organized in a more extensive manner than in previous years, with a focus on nostalgic flavors and experiences.
The festival will run until the end of Ramadan. It will be open daily from 5:30 pm to 2 am. Visitors will be allowed until 3 am on weekends. The festival aims to reintroduce the flavors of the 1970s, 80s and 90s. More than 30 restaurants and food stalls are participating in the festival.
In addition to food, there are many entertainment programs that families and children can enjoy. The festival also includes screenings of old television shows, henna painting, art workshops for children, live cooking, stage shows and competitions. The production and display of traditional handicrafts is a special attraction.
On the night of Garangao, the main festival of Ramadan, there will be a special distribution of gifts for children and traditional songs. This festival, which is being held at the Old Doha Port, is expected to attract a large number of people this time, combining tradition, food and entertainment.
