Qatar Museums has announced that all museums in Qatar will be offering free admission to the public on International Museum Day. The benefit will be available on Monday, May 18, 2026. The decision aims to bring the country’s cultural heritage and art closer to the people.

The theme for this year’s Museum Day is ‘Museums Uniting a Divided World’. Qatar Museums officials said that this theme is of great importance as the National Museum of Qatar celebrates its 50th anniversary. The day celebrates the role that museums play in bringing people together through art, culture and shared stories.

On May 18, museums will offer a variety of entertainment, educational activities and interactive sessions for visitors of all ages to enjoy. Through this initiative, Qatar Museums aims to highlight the role of museums in promoting dialogue, creativity and social engagement.
