The Qatar National Library will reopen from April 12, 2026, officials said. The official announcement was made on April 10. The library has now set up extended hours for readers and students.
According to the new changes, the library’s operating hours are as follows:
General operating hours:
- Saturday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
- Friday: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Children’s Library:
- Sunday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM
- Friday: 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Late-Night Study Hours:
- Friday to Wednesday: 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the next day
- Thursday: 8:00 PM to 9:00 AM Friday
The library authorities have prepared this new schedule in a way that will be very useful for students and researchers who want to study quietly at night.
