The Qatar Meteorological Department warned on Monday that strong northwesterly winds will affect the country from Thursday, January 15, 2026, and will continue until early next week. The department said that there will be a significant drop in wind temperature and strong cold especially over the weekend.

The warning said that wind speeds will increase on Saturday and Sunday, which will lead to dusty weather and reduced visibility in some areas. The authorities said that the marine weather will be turbulent and marine warnings are in place, and the authorities advised fishermen, small boat users and seafarers to be cautious during this period.
