Qatar has ranked fourth globally in the Standard of Living Index (SLI) according to the 2026 Legatum Prosperity Index. This achievement, which ranks first in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, reflects the continued improvement in the standard of living of the country’s citizens and expatriates. In addition, Qatar has ranked eighth in the world in the Development Index, which is based on quality of life, health and education. This indicates the progress the country has made in developing modern infrastructure to provide basic services that ensure a better life.

These excellent results reflect the country’s success in implementing the Third National Development Strategy, a significant step towards achieving the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030. This demonstrates the great importance the country attaches to social and human development in order to build a sustainable future.
