The Ministry of Interior of Qatar has decided to end the temporary extension benefit granted to all types of entry visas that have expired or are about to expire. This exemption, which was granted by order dated March 3 this year, will end completely from next Sunday (June 7, 2026). The ministry has clarified that from June 7, the normal rules and guidelines that existed before will be in force for all types of entry visas, and the exact duration and fees set for the respective visas will be applicable from this date.
The authorities have strictly instructed all residents and visitors to the country to check and ensure the legality of their visas. The ministry has asked them to renew their visas on time, pay the prescribed fees or leave the country upon their expiry. The Ministry of Interior also reminded everyone to be vigilant to avoid fines and other legal actions that may arise from remaining in the country beyond the permitted stay limit.
