The ministry reminded drivers to ensure that their headlights and taillights are working before starting night journeys. Qatar Al Meezan Legal Portal stated that those who violate Article 70 of the Traffic Law will face severe penalties under Article 95. Those who commit such violations may be sentenced to imprisonment for a period of one week to one year, a fine of QR3,000 to QR10,000, or both. This is not an automatic fine, but a punitive measure imposed by the court based on the seriousness of the situation.
