Qatar celebrated Eid al-Adha in a devotional atmosphere today. The Ministry had prepared extensive facilities for the believers in 733 mosques and Eidgahs across the country. Thousands of believers, including locals and foreigners, participated in the Eid prayers that began at 5:00 am. About 5,000 people gathered in the special Eidgah set up in the Asian Town Cricket Stadium parking lot alone. After the Eid prayers, families came together to exchange Eid greetings and perform sacrificial rituals.

Authorities have prepared extensive entertainment and cultural programs in various parts of the country to mark the Eid holiday. Four-day traditional art performances will be held at Old Doha Port, and a family festival with circus and magic shows will be held at 974 Beach. Musical performances by Pakistani artists, free health camps, and prize draws have also been arranged for the expatriate communities in Asian Town and Al Khor. The Meteorological Department has advised those venturing out during the day to exercise caution as temperatures are expected to reach 43°C in the coming days.
