A high-level delegation from Qatar’s Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) met with Moroccan officials in Marrakech to share their experiences from successfully hosting the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The meeting was part of the Qatar-Africa Business Forum.

As part of the Qatar-Morocco 2024 Year of Culture, the initiative aims to support Morocco, Spain, and Portugal in their preparations for the 2030 FIFA World Cup, according to reports.

SC’s Deputy Director General for Technical Services, Ghanim Al-Kuwari, emphasized Qatar’s commitment to regional collaboration.

“Our vision for the FIFA World Cup was not just to represent Qatar, but to engage the entire Arab world and the broader MENA region,” he said.

“We aim to work closely with our Moroccan partners to ensure the success of the 2030 tournament,” he added.
