A huge crowd was seen at Mall of Qatar as part of the Eid celebrations. This is one of the largest crowds in the mall’s history. Despite some crises in the region, this shows the safety and unity that such public spaces provide where people come together. Thousands of people from different countries came to the mall to enjoy shopping and food as well as the ‘Lumina Dream Show’.
Mall of Qatar General Manager Michael Beverley responded that malls are no longer just shopping centers, but have become great social spaces for people to come together and celebrate. He added that the fact that so many families and friends came together for Eid sends a great message of hope.
Mall of Qatar is now prioritizing the concept of ‘The Mall of the Nation’, which brings together different communities in Qatar. Asset Management CEO Roni Mourani said that this gathering is the biggest proof of that. As part of this, the mall is also preparing for a new cultural project called ‘MOQ Stage of Nations’, which celebrates the cultures of different countries.
