All scheduled flights of Qatar Airways remain suspended following the closure of Qatar Airways’ airspace. The airline said that it will only resume services once the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority officially announces that the airspace has been fully and safely reopened. The latest information will be released on March 8 at 9 am Doha time (06:00 UTC).
The airline has decided to operate a limited number of flights to Hamad International Airport in Doha on March 8, with special permission from the Civil Aviation Authority. These flights will operate only from London, Paris, Madrid, Rome, Frankfurt and Bangkok. Only passengers with Doha as their final destination will be able to travel on these flights. Tickets can be booked via Qatar Airways’ website (qatarairways.com), mobile app or travel agents.
The airline warned that these limited services cannot be considered a full resumption of flights. Therefore, those who do not have confirmed tickets should avoid coming to airports. The company said in a press release that the safety of passengers and crew is always its priority and it sincerely regrets the inconvenience caused by this unexpected situation beyond its control.
