A passenger-only ferry service between Qatar and Bahrain officially launched on November 6, 2025, providing travelers with a fast and scenic sea connection between the two Gulf neighbors. Operating via Qatar’s Al Ruwais Port and Bahrain’s Saada Marina, the new route covers a distance of approximately 35 nautical miles (about 65 kilometers) and completes the journey in approximately 70–80 minutes.
Tickets can be booked exclusively through the MASAR mobile app. After creating an account, users can select an international voyage, choose a one-way or round-trip option, select their departure and arrival ports, provide passenger details, upload passport and visa copies, and select seats. Booking confirmation is provided through the app.
There are currently two daily departures in each direction: from Qatar at 10:20am and 10:20pm, and from Bahrain at 8am and 8pm. The ferries operate in standard (20 seats) and VIP (8 seats) categories. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, air conditioning, lounges and optional meals. Round-trip fares start at 257 riyals for standard and 354 riyals for VIP. One-way tickets cost 174 riyals and 257 riyals respectively. Children under two years old can travel at half price.
