Qatar ranks among top five countries for cancer survival rates

Qatar is one of the leading countries in cancer survival rates. In a recent study conducted by international health insurance experts from William Russell, Qatar ranked fifth for the lowest cancer mortality rate, with 76.16 deaths per 100,000 population. Saudi Arabia topped the list with the lowest cancer mortality rate (49.34 deaths per 100,000), followed by Oman (66.49), Mexico (71.07), and the UAE (72.54).

Qatar’s strong ranking reflects its investment in cutting-edge medical care, early detection programs, and innovative treatments. The country’s advanced healthcare infrastructure, skilled medical professionals, and research initiatives have played a critical role in improving cancer survival rates. This recognition comes as the world observes Prostate Cancer Awareness Month in March, further highlighting Qatar’s commitment to increasing cancer care and prevention.
