Qatar Energy President HE Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi inaugurated the Energy Week 2025 in Delhi, saying that India has achieved great growth in the energy sector. He said that in a context of increasing global energy demand, we need an approach that uses all energy sources.
The minister said that poverty in renewable energy is a serious problem in a world where more than a billion people do not have access to basic electricity and stressed the importance of continuous investment in the oil and gas sector to meet the world’s growing energy demand by 2050 and avoid volatility in energy prices.
Al Kaabi added that criticizing energy producers will not help solve our environmental problem and will not help us achieve affordable energy supply.
He said that India has made great progress in the energy sector and solar energy production has increased significantly.
India’s Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas Hardeep Singh Puri, Tanzania’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Doto Mashaka Biteko, and Energy Security Secretary Ed Miliband also participated in the ministerial panel.
