The Qatar Meteorological Department (QMD) has warned of thunderstorms and strong winds in Qatar this weekend. This was stated in the latest weather report issued on Thursday, March 12, 2026. Cloudy weather and isolated rain are possible in many parts of the country.

On Friday, there will be partly cloudy skies with the possibility of isolated rain and thunderstorms during the day. Strong winds may blow in the morning. Temperatures will be moderate during the day, but relatively cold at night. Visibility may be reduced due to the possibility of fog on Saturday morning. Saturday will be normal during the day, but it will be colder at night.

Temperatures in the country these days will be between 20°C and 28°C. Winds are likely to blow from the northwest to the northeast on Thursday and Saturday, and from the southeast to the northeast on Friday at speeds of 5 to 15 knots. The Meteorological Department warns that waves in the sea are likely to rise up to 10 feet during periods of rain with thunderstorms, and therefore caution is advised.
