The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has announced that all banks and financial institutions in Qatar will be closed on Sunday, March 1 (March 1, 2026). The holiday is announced in accordance with Article 4, Clause 4 of Amiri Decree No. 57 of 2025.
According to this Amiri Decree, the first Sunday of March every year will be an official bank holiday in Qatar. All banks and financial institutions in the country will be open as usual from Monday, March 2, after the Sunday holiday, the Central Bank said in a statement.
