DoorDash to shut down in 4 countries; Qatar also on the list

Leading online food delivery platform DoorDash is shutting down its services in four countries. The company is discontinuing operations in Qatar, Singapore, Japan, and Uzbekistan. This includes the services of the brands Deliveroo and Wolt under DoorDash. The company made this official announcement on February 25, 2026.

The company stated that the decision to withdraw was made after assessing the business conditions in each country and the financial investments required to provide a better service. The service will be discontinued in these countries in a phased manner. DoorDash assures that it will work closely with local teams to provide the necessary support to employees, merchants, customers, and delivery partners (riders and couriers) during this transition.

In addition, the company plans to make some operational changes, including investing more in engineering positions in the UK. However, it is estimated that the withdrawal from these four countries will not significantly affect DoorDash’s financial position. Officials also stated that there will be no changes to the financial outlook released by the company on February 18.
