The Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs announced the launch of the Iftar al-Sa’im (Iftar for the Fast) project for Ramadan 2026. It said the initiative has been expanded to nine Iftar tent sites. The project, which was unveiled at a press conference held at the General Directorate of Endowments, is expected to serve more than 360,000 fasting people during the holy month and is being implemented under the Endowment Fund for Justice and Piety, reinforcing the values of social solidarity, compassion and humanitarian support.
Officials speaking at the event said the expanded scale reflects the ministry’s commitment to reaching more beneficiaries while adhering to recognized health and nutritional standards. The project offers donation options for individuals, companies and institutions, including full or partial sponsorships, with one beneficiary sponsoring an entire Iftar site at a cost of 650,000 riyals. The air-conditioned tents will be managed by dedicated restaurants and supervised by ministry staff.
