The Qatar Meteorological Department has announced that strong northwesterly winds will blow in most parts of the country on January 25 and 26, 2026. The department said that dust clouds will be generated in many areas as the winds strengthen, which is likely to reduce visibility at times.

In addition to the windy weather, temperatures are forecast to drop further, which will increase the cold across the country. The QMD confirmed that marine warnings will remain in effect during this period, and advised that caution be exercised for maritime operations due to turbulent conditions.
