Qatar Central Bank has announced that Thursday, January 1, 2026, will be observed as a year-end closing holiday for all financial institutions across the country. This decision is in accordance with Article (4) of Amiri Decree No. 57 of 2025 on Working Days, Occasions and Public Holidays in Qatar.

Accordingly, all banks and financial institutions will suspend operations on that day and resume normal operations on Sunday, January 4, 2026, the Central Bank said in an announcement.
