Darb Al Sai attracts large crowds as part of Qatar National Day celebrations, offering visitors an immersive cultural journey that brings traditional Bedouin life to the forefront. Organised by the Ministry of Culture, the experience centres around the Al Makhtar Showcase, where families and children can enjoy camel rides, learn saddle techniques and enjoy traditional activities such as Bait Al Aged, Sadu weaving tents, dairy huts and falconry spaces that highlight daily life in the desert.
The Falconry Zone, which includes insights into traditional hunting methods, including the role of the Saluki hound, live demonstrations and falcon training sessions, remains a key attraction. Open daily from 3pm to 11pm in Umm Salal until December 20, Darb Al Sai celebrates Qatar’s heritage through a blend of tradition, education and community spirit.
