Free school supplies for students in public schools

The Ministry of Education and Higher Education has directed all public schools to provide necessary educational supplies without imposing any additional cost on parents.

The circular states that schools must meet all basic educational needs such as stationery, project materials, and activity materials within their approved budget. Schools are not allowed to ask parents for money or ask them to purchase any supplies for school programs or uniforms.

If schools have any needs beyond their budget, they must inform the Finance Department for approval. The ministry said the move is aimed at creating a fair and supportive learning environment that ensures equal opportunities for all students.
