The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has temporarily closed several roads in various parts of Doha for maintenance and installation work. Ashghal has urged all drivers to adhere to the speed limit, use diversion routes and plan their journeys using nearby alternative roads during the closure period.
Shark Interchange
The Shark Interchange will be completely closed to traffic from all four directions, but right turns will remain open. The closure will take place from 12am to 5am on Thursday, October 23, 2025, for road maintenance.
Thani Bin Jassim Interchange
One lane at the Thani Bin Jassim Interchange will be closed for eight days from Thursday, October 23 to Friday, October 31, 2025. Drivers can use the remaining open lanes to continue their journey.
Al Mazrua Road
Al Mazrua Road will be completely closed to vehicles coming from Lusail to Umm Salal Ali. The closure will be in effect from 2am to 10am on Friday, October 24, 2025 to install the ITS gantry.
Al Qaraitiyat Interchange
Two lanes will be closed at Al Qaraitiyat Interchange
- The exit to Al Ebb will be closed to vehicles coming from Isgawa from 12am to 5am on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
- Two lanes from Doha to Al Qaraitiyat and Al Ebb will be closed from 12am to 5am on Monday, October 27, 2025.
During this closure, motorists heading towards Al Ebb Street and Al Riffa Street are advised to turn left onto Qutifan Street to reach their destinations using the Isgawa Interchange.
