The Ministry of Public Health has ordered the recall of “Tannourin” bottled water from Lebanon after tests showed it was contaminated with the bacteria Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The ministry advised the public not to drink the water and to return it to stores.
Importers and stores have been told to remove the product from shelves, and samples have been sent to Qatar’s food safety labs for testing. Inspection teams have also visited stores to ensure the water is no longer being sold.
