Qatar Airways has issued a travel warning to passengers flying to Europe, saying it will start using a new Entry/Exit System (EES) from October 12, 2025. The system will replace the old passport stamping process at the borders of the European Union Schengen countries.
Under the new system, passengers from outside the European Union will have to register their fingerprints and have their photo taken at automated kiosks when entering or leaving the region. The rule will apply to all EU countries except Cyprus and Ireland. Qatar Airways advised passengers to review the new requirements on the official EU website before travelling.
