Safari Group has launched a food festival titled “1980: A Southern Nostalgia – Travancore Food Festival” across all its outlets. The festival features themed decorations and staff dressed in retro attire that recreate the charm of the 1980s. The promotion was inaugurated by Group Chairman Hamad Dhafar Al Ahbabi, Deputy Chairman and Managing Director Zainul Abidin and other officials at Safari Mall in Abu Hamour.
The festival features a collection of traditional dishes including chicken fry, Angadi Kizhi, Kanava Fry, Mutton Curry, Vizhinjam Chicken Fry, Southern-style Chicken Biryani, Killipalam Chicken Fry, Chicken Liver Roast, and Grilled Fish. In addition, nostalgic combos like Kanava Kappa and Porota Beef Curry will also be available at the festival. Designed to connect the younger generation with the tastes of yesteryear, the festival also brings back fond memories for the older generation.
Along with the festival, Safari has also organized two mega raffles. The first one is offering prizes worth 200,000 riyals, including cash rewards, home appliances, gadgets, TVs, and vouchers. The draw will be held on October 7 at Safari Mall. In the second draw, customers will have the chance to win 25 Toyota Rice cars, and will receive a coupon entry for every 50 riyals spent on shopping.
