Schools across Qatar reopened today, marking the start of the 2025–2026 academic year. The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) announced that all preparations have been completed to ensure a smooth return for students in all grades.
This year, the ministry opened 10 new government schools, added 6,000 seats, and hired 1,124 new teachers. Future plans include 11 schools, classroom expansions, renovations, and a new vocational institution. 276 schools and kindergartens have also been renovated.
The ministry highlighted curriculum updates to strengthen national identity, modernize science subjects, and integrate STEM learning. The partnerships will introduce financial literacy and cybersecurity lessons, while providing increased support for early childhood and inclusive education.
