The General Directorate of Traffic has extended the deadline for vehicle registration renewal in Qatar until December 31, 2025. The extension was announced to reduce congestion at renewal centers and help vehicle owners complete the process on time.

Authorities confirmed that vehicles registered before December 31 can be sold and displayed in showrooms and online platforms even if they do not meet the approved standards. However, vehicles registered after that date must meet the standards for sale or display.

The Traffic Directorate warned that violators will face strict action. Renewals can be made via the Metrash app, and vehicle inspection can take up to 15 minutes. The General Directorate of Traffic had earlier announced that all vehicle owners should complete the registration renewal process of their vehicles by the 27th of this month. This has now been extended to December 31.
