Qatar tax return deadline

GTA reminds taxpayers to file 2024 tax returns before August 31, 2025

The General Tax Authority (GTA) has urged all registered taxpayers to file their 2024 tax returns via the Dhariba Tax Portal by August 31, 2025 to avoid penalties or legal action.

The law applies to all companies and entities with a commercial registration or license in Qatar, including tax-exempt entities, companies wholly owned by Qatari or GCC nationals, and those with foreign partners.

The GTA also confirmed that a 100% financial penalty exemption initiative is available until August 31, 2025, allowing taxpayers to settle their tax status without additional charges. Requests and documents can be submitted online via Dhariba. The authority said the initiative aims to support the economy, encourage voluntary tax compliance and create a business-friendly environment.

For assistance, taxpayers can visit the GTA Tower on Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8 am to 12 pm, call 16565, or send an email to GTA.
