The Qatar Meteorological Department (QMD) has announced that humidity will increase across the country this week. Humidity is expected to increase from Tuesday, August 5, 2025 to Wednesday, August 6, 2025. Fog may occur in some areas during this time.
Qatar is currently in the third month of summer. The weather is hot and humid, with little rainfall. The QMD explained that August usually brings low pressure and easterly winds, which increase humidity levels.
The highest temperature ever recorded in Qatar in August was 48.6°C in 2002. The lowest temperature was 22.4°C in 1971. This year, the average daily temperature in August is expected to be around 35°C.
