Qatar Energy has officially announced fuel prices for the month of August 2025. The prices of premium and super-grade petrol will remain unchanged compared to the previous month.
According to the latest update shared by Qatar Energy, the price of premium grade petrol will remain at 1.95 riyals per liter, while the price of super-grade petrol will remain at 2.00 riyals per liter. Despite fluctuations in the global fuel market, consumers in Qatar have received stable pricing.
The decision not to increase fuel prices in August is part of Qatar Energy’s monthly review, which takes into account global crude oil trends, local demand and local market stability. People across Qatar had been expecting a change in rates, especially given recent changes in global energy prices due to geopolitical tensions and volatile demand. However, Qatar Energy’s pricing reflects the country’s strong energy reserves and balanced supply chain, which shields domestic consumers from major price shocks.
While there was no change in petrol prices, Qatar Energy has yet to release updates on diesel prices, which are usually revised monthly. Last month, diesel was priced at 2.05 riyals per liter.
Qatar has adopted a monthly pricing system since 2016, which aligns local fuel prices with global trends while maintaining transparency. The fuel price announcement is closely watched as it affects budgeting and transportation costs.
Qatar Energy’s stable pricing in August, while many countries struggle with price increases, indicates a stable domestic fuel environment. The new fuel prices will come into effect from Thursday, August 1, 2025, and will remain the same for the rest of the month unless revised by the authorities.
