According to Numbio’s 2025 Mid-Year Safety Index, Qatar has been ranked as the third safest country in the world. With a safety score of 84.6, Qatar stands out for its low crime rate and high safety standards. The report included 148 countries from around the world in the ranking.
Numbio’s safety index measures the level of crime and how safe people feel, including risks such as theft or assault. Qatar has very low rates of crimes such as vehicle theft and drug-related incidents. The country ranks highly in terms of safety both day and night.
Four other countries from the Gulf region, including the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia and Bahrain, were also in the top 15. In 2024, Qatar was named the second safest country, just behind the UAE.
