Qatar is a great place for nature lovers and adventure seekers to see one of the world’s largest gatherings of whale sharks this summer. From June 20 to September 19, 2025, whale shark watching tours will take place every Thursday, Friday and Saturday, departing from Al Ruwais Port in northern Qatar.
This seasonal event will allow up to 40 guests to take part in a day-long ocean cruise on a high-speed catamaran. The tours, which run from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, offer the opportunity to see whale sharks up close from the safety of the boat’s observation deck.
The trip begins with check-in at Al Ruwais Port at 6:00 AM, followed by an expert-led presentation on whale sharks at 8:15 AM. Then, you can see the whale sharks in their natural habitat. The tour concludes with a return to port at 2:30 PM. The ship is also equipped with Wi-Fi, and optional return transfers are available for added convenience.
