June 2025 was the third hottest month on record, according to the Qatar Meteorological Department (Civil Aviation Authority). The average daily temperature for the month was around 34.7°C. For comparison, the lowest temperature ever recorded in June was 21°C in 1975, while the highest was 49.1°C in 2010.
This month, Qatar is also likely to experience strong northwesterly winds. These winds can carry light dust particles, which can reduce visibility and cause high waves at sea. Winds are expected to become stronger during the day, gradually calming down in the evening and night.
Due to the high temperatures and dusty winds, those with allergies or respiratory problems are advised to exercise extra caution when outdoors.
