The Qatar National Library (QNL) has opened a new book lending station. This is the first of its kind in Qatar. Now, library members in Al Khor can easily browse and borrow books. It is like a mini library, helping to make reading and library services more accessible to the community.
The station works like a vending machine, but is free for library members. You can borrow six books at a time, just like at the main library. The first station is set up on the ground floor of Al Khor Mall near the main entrance. More stations will soon be set up in various locations across Qatar.
To borrow a book, swipe your library card or type in your membership number and password. You can then select a book from the catalog. The books are updated frequently to provide readers with a variety of choices. The station is open during mall hours.
