To encourage digital payments, Qatar Central Bank (QCB) has introduced a new feature called “Multiple Wallets Per Mobile Number” on the Qatar Mobile Payment (QMP) system.

Key Features:

Multiple Wallets: Users can now open two wallets with different payment providers on the same mobile number.

Default Account Option: Set a primary wallet to seamlessly receive all incoming transfers.

Flexible Management: Easily switch between accounts or change the default wallet at any time.

QMP, Qatar’s first instant national digital wallet, ensures fast and secure transactions by integrating all local mobile payment providers. This upgrade is part of QCB’s ongoing efforts to modernize Qatar’s financial ecosystem and promote cashless transactions.
