Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) is set to host an exciting week of horse racing at Al Rayyan and Al Uqda racecourses. Kicking off with the 40th Al Rayyan meeting today, fans can look forward to nine exciting races, including the Al Jumailiya Cup in the Thoroughbred Confined Plate (Class 2), which will feature strong contenders such as Account, Al Shaman and Edgartown. The day also includes a mix of Thoroughbred and Purebred Arabian races in various classes, promising an exciting start to the racing week.

The action continues at Al Uqda Racecourse with the 41st meeting taking place over two days. Wednesday’s races include the Sealine Sprint Trophy and the Al Wajba Trophy, featuring top names such as Legend of Xanadu and Suhail Star. On Thursday, the spotlight shifts to four marquee events: the Qatar Silver Trophy, Silver Sword, Gold Trophy and the highly anticipated Qatar Gold Sword. The final two international races, each with a prize money of $250,000, will feature elite competition, including top horses such as Bolthole, Sun Amer and Al Nati Up.
