Current Route of Doha Metro
Doha Metro is divided into three lines: Red, Green, and Gold. Construction of the new Blue Line is underway. The new line will have 60 additional stations. There are also plans to add more stations to the existing lines. The first phase of this development is expected to be completed by 2026.
Doha Metro Operating Hours
Doha Metro operates seven days a week. It operates from 6am to 11pm from Saturday to Wednesday, from 6am to midnight on Thursdays, and from 2pm to midnight on Fridays. Trains arrive at the station every six minutes. The average journey time between most stations is three minutes.

There are two types of travel classes on the Doha Metro: Standard and Gold Club. Passengers using Standard or Family carriages pay 2 riyals per journey. The maximum daily fare is 6 riyals, regardless of how many times they are used in a day. The Gold Club card costs 10 riyals per journey, with a daily limit of 30 riyals.
Children aged five and over require a travel card, and the fare is the same for children and adults. Children aged nine and over can travel on the Doha Metro alone, but children under this age must be accompanied by someone over 16 years old.
Where can I buy a travel card for the Doha Metro?
Standard travel cards are available from vending machines at all metro stations and from five licensed retailers: Al Meera, Carrefour, Family Food Centre, Jumbo Electronics and Lulu Hypermarket.
You can also order a Metro Card through Talabat Mart and have it delivered directly to your home. The credit limit of the Standard Card is QR10 when you first purchase it, and you can top up when your credit runs low.
If you want to purchase a GoldClub Card, you need to visit the GoldClub offices at one of the Doha Metro stations. These cards cost QR100 each when purchased for the first time.

Doha Metro Lusail Tram Ramadan Schedule 2025
To provide better service to passengers, Doha Metro and Lusail Tram have revised their operating hours during Ramadan. From Saturday to Thursday, Doha Metro will operate from 5:30 am to 1:30 am, and Lusail Tram from 5:30 am to 2:00 am. On Fridays, Doha Metro will start at 9:30 am, and Lusail Tram will start at 2:30 pm, and both will operate until late at night. These extended schedules will help ensure travel convenience during the holy month.
