Authorities have warned users to be vigilant against online fundraising scams. The Qatar Central Bank (QCB), the National Cyber Security Agency, the Ministry of Interior (MOI), and the Qatar Financial Center Regulatory Authority jointly shared a social media post on the matter.
The suggested guidelines include:
- Donate only through official and recognized charitable organizations.
- Beware of individuals or groups who solicit donations via phone, email, or social media platforms.
- Avoid donation requests that affect you emotionally.
