Qatar Airways, the largest global airline to offer Starlink high-speed internet, has installed Starlink on its 30th aircraft. Bringing the total number of Boeing 777 aircraft equipped with Starlink to more than 50% of its fleet.

Four months after the world’s first Boeing 777 Starlink-equipped aircraft was launched, 15 aircraft have been upgraded with Starlink connectivity. This achievement comes two months after the initial target of 12 installations by 2024 was surpassed.

By carefully and timely completing the installations within a 12-hour nighttime timeframe, the airline ensured a smooth process that did not impact operations or flight schedules.

Voted the world’s best airline by Skytrax in 2024, it had initially planned to complete the installations within two years. However, Qatar Airways has optimised its process and expects to complete the full deployment of its Boeing 777 fleet in the second quarter of 2025.
