Halal Qatar Festival kicks off in Katara

The 13th edition of the Halal Qatar Festival kicked off in the southern region of Katara on Wednesday. Cattle breeders from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Kuwait will participate. The festival is a major event celebrating heritage, traditional culture and livestock breeding.

This year, the festival will feature new competitions and auctions, including a “Masayan” competition to choose the most beautiful cattle. Visitors can enjoy horse riding, cultural activities and an art exhibition inspired by the desert heritage. The festival, which will run until February 24, will offer a glimpse into Gulf heritage, cattle breeding and traditional desert life.
