The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI) has announced an annual consumer products program that offers discounts on more than 1,000 essential items during the month of Ramadan. The initiative, which was implemented in coordination with major retail complexes across Qatar, will last until the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

The ministry said in a statement issued on Monday that the initiative is part of its ongoing efforts to ease the financial burden of consumers. The initiative includes a wide range of essential products, including food items such as flour, sugar, rice, pasta, chicken, cooking oil and milk, as well as non-food items such as tissues, aluminum foil and household detergents, which are in high demand during the holy month.
