The third Souq Waqif International Date Exhibition, which will run until February 24, opened on Thursday at the East Arena of Souq Waqif. 95 companies from seven countries – Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Algeria, Oman, Pakistan and Sudan – are participating in the exhibition. The exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to learn more about different types of dates and date products. Admission to the exhibition, which runs from 9 am to 12 noon and from 3.30 pm to 10 pm every day, is free.

The exhibition also features a large participation from Qatari companies, reflecting the growing growth of the country’s date industry. Local producers also want to provide high-quality dates that compete with local and international products.
