The “For My Love” program’s 5th edition, providing an opportunity for expatriates in Qatar to bring their spouses to the country free of cost, was launched. Organizers of the program, Radio Malayalam, announced this at a press conference.
Fourteen expats will be taking their spouses into Qatar for seven days from the 18th February. The primary objective of such a program would be to keep the expat busy with spending quality time among his family, and different institutions and agencies will organize get-togethers for each couple.
The program started in 2018 with an opportunity for only 10 couples. However, every year, the number increases to include more couples. For instance, this year has included a new offering of the program to 14 couples. It is portrayed as a form of appreciation for expatriates who are far from their families for long years.
The selected spouses will be from among the applications of low-income expatriates who have been working in Qatar for at least 25 years. The final selection will be done through a voting process by the radio listeners.
