Qatar’s interior ministry said yesterday that entry and exit through Hamad International Airport will now be possible using the Qatar Digital Identity (QDI) app.
The QDI mobile app, launched in October 2024, provides digital records of ID cards and documents. It enables users to access various e-services without physical documents.
Steps to travel through e-gates using QDI App
- Download the QDI mobile app and sign up. It has face recognition.
- Swipe the digital cards in the QDI app and select the “Travel Document” card.
- Tap the icon at the top of the card to verify face recognition.
- After verifying, close the mobile device to the e-gate scanner.
